"Promising prospects" – integral concept for the development of personnel at TRACOE medical

The "Promising prospects" initiative is composed of six areas that are partially interlinked: Training, Academic Studies, Qualification, Continuing Education, Integral Development and Careers.

"Quality by People for People" – the guiding principle of TRACOE medical is palpable throughout this entire company. Well-qualified and motivated staff are its most important capital. For this reason, the medical technology company created the "Promising prospects" initiative. This encompasses all important areas of personnel development, from joining the company through advancement. An especially interesting aspect is the integral promotion it offers, extending beyond purely vocational aims. This family company, headquartered in Nieder-Olm, Rheinland-Pfalz (Rhineland-Palatinate), has 178 employees.

The "Promising prospects" initiative is composed of six areas that are partially interlinked: Training, Academic Studies, Qualification, Continuing Education, Integral Development and Careers. For young people, joining the TRACOEWorld begins with Training or dual Academic Studies. The company offers school leavers who have achieved the grade for technical college (Fachhochschule) or university entrance (Abitur), training as Industrial Business Managers. For those who completed Intermediate Secondary School (Realschule), the company offers positions for training as skilled personnel in Warehouse Logistics. In cooperation with Baden-Wuerttemberg Cooperative State University, the company offers the dual study course Business Administration / Informatics Management. The employment chances are good: to date, 78 percent of trainees and 63 percent of students have been given a job in the company.

Integral promotion as the key to employee motivation
The potential development path for employees includes qualification, continuing education, and integral promotion. "Because we can only be successful if we have competent and highly-motivated employees, we do not only offer our workers attractive development options, but also ensure that they enjoy working with us" says Stephan Köhler, Managing Director of this family company that is now being led by its third generation. For this reason, the company places its focus on integral development, consisting of a broad spectrum of coaching measures. On the one hand, the areas covered are technical, such as leadership competence, while on the other, "soft factors", such as conflict management, resolving communication problems, and finding a personal balance in life, are also imparted.
