As part of the health management program (GeMa), in early May TRACOE started a “movement challenge” for its staff, offering a donation of 3,000 euro to each of two different institutions if they managed to cover a distance of 4,000 km in 10 days. In addition to the fun and the positive effects of movement on their own health, the TRACOE staff were able to achieve much more with their commitment. Not only did they meet the target of 4,000 km but even exceeded it by 720.7 km!
In this way, the management kept its promise and promptly made the donations to both of the previously selected institutions: Zwerg Nase Zentrum gGmbH in Wiesbaden and Kinderkrebshilfe Mainz e.V.
The presentation of a cheque for 3,000 euro each to Sabine Schenk, Managing Director of “Zwerg-Nase Zentrum gGmbH“ in Wiesbaden and to Katja Vogt, Fundraising Department of Kinderkrebshilfe Mainz e.V., was again a stark reminder of how much gravely and chronically ill children need our support. Sadly, this medical and psychosocial care is not always guaranteed in Germany. “Donations are of enormous help here, and we are proud to have made a small contribution”, said Dr. Thomas Jurisch.
At the same time, the management would like to express its thanks to the employees who demonstrated their immediate commitment and played a literally active role to make these donations happen.
